Our Staff

Senior Pastor: Dr. Chris Johnson
Pastor Chris Johnson was ordained in 1986 by the Evangelical Free Church of America.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Wheaton College, a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Theology from Columbia Biblical Seminary.  Pastor Chris has served as a missionary in Brazil, and he has pastored churches in Florida and Minnesota.  He came to Christ Community Church in September 2003.
Pastor Chris takes his ministry goal from the words of the Apostle Paul in Colossians 1:28-29, "We tell people about Christ, admonishing and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us, so that we may present everyone mature in their relationship with Christ.  This is why I work very hard, as I depend on Christ's power that mightily works in me."  As Pastor Chris teaches the Bible, cares for people, and leads the church, he fervently prays that God's power would propel people toward a mature relationship with Christ.  His purpose is to feed people with God's truth and love so that they may grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, all to God's glory!
Spare moments will find him jogging, reading a Christian classic, contemplating a Rembrandt, or listening to J. S. Bach.  He also enjoys spending time with his wife Rhonda and adult children Gabriel and Ruth.
Howard Lundeen
I'm delighted that you've taken the time to visit us.  Our goal as a church is to provide opportunities for people to grow in their understanding and knowledge of God.  Our desire is that everyone who attends will sense God presence and love and the love and acceptance of our members.  A wide range of small groups, Bible studies and other worship or service opportunities are provided through which people can be encouraged, utilize their giftedness, and build loving, supportive, safe relationships.
Howard Lundeen has served in this position since November 1999.  Prior to that date, while employed as a math teacher with the Waseca Public School District, he served 28 years as a layperson at Christ Community Church.  Howard and his wife, Carol have lived in Waseca since 1971 and have two adult sons.
Pastor Howard's passion is to know God intimately, experience the fullness of life He desires for us all, and to be a faithful  servant of His.  For Howard there is no greater joy than seeing people coming to know the assurance of salvation and the richness of a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
